In Memory of Edie

Edie Burke, beloved wife of Gary Burke and loving mother of Ryan and Christine, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the age of 43 years.

Besides her loving husband and children, Edie is survived by her parents Ralph and Elsie Reddaway of Melita, MB as well as nine siblings and their families. She was predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

Since the inception of the Underwear Affair, Edie and a team of exceptional supporters have raised thousands of dollars so that people may have hope through new treatment options in their battles against cancer. While Edie eventually succumbed to her disease, she was blessed with incredible support from family, friends and a medical profession that used everything at its disposal but sadly remains in need of more tools to beat cancer.

Edie's legacy lives on in many ways including Team SpEdie through which she has inspired many to never give up in the face of difficulty. Please continue your support of new treatment options in her honour.
